Cymdeithas Cyfieithwyr Cymru has decided to award the £1000 Simultaneous Interpretation Scholarship to Richard Timothy this year.
Rhagoriaith is one of Wales’ leading Welsh language training providers within the education sector and one of the Welsh Government’s providers of the Sabbatical Scheme for Teachers and Classroom Assistants. Rhagoriaith can provide bespoke courses for schools to meet specific requirements, e.g. one-to-one lessons or professional development provision. These courses are aimed specifically to raise the confidence and proficiency of teachers and learners, raise standards across the school and help develop individuals’ ability to teach Welsh across the curriculum at all levels.

These can be one-off courses as part of school INSET days or courses for individuals on a more regular basis. Our courses range from learning Welsh from new to enabling Welsh speakers to feel more confident in their use of Welsh within a classroom setting. We have experience in teaching Welsh on a one-to-one basis to Headteachers and we can also offer more specialist courses such as training teachers to develop learners’ literacy and Welsh reading skills.
