The Sabbatical Course is a program of language courses for teachers, lecturers and classroom assistants and its aim is to increase the number of practitioners who can teach through the medium of Welsh or bilingually.
Rhagoriaith is responsible for running the courses on the Cynllun Sabothol Cenedlaethol through funding by the Welsh Government in south-west Wales and mid Wales, as well as mediating each course in all regions on a national level.
We provide entry level, foundation and advanced level courses, and each one is free of charge, with the Welsh Government carrying the costs of supply teachers as well boarding and travel.
