This is an innovative course offered for prospective subtitle professionals. The increasing use of audio-visual material in our everyday lives has led to a huge increase in demand for subtitling in recent years.
The course is a natural development opportunity for individuals who have made some translation and who desire professional development, or individuals who are considering a career in this area. The Certificate has been developed in partnership with subtitling companies and professional broadcasters.
External partners contribute extensively towards the qualification, and as well as teaching on the course itself, they offer work placement opportunities. This is a qualification that will combine good practice and valuable workplace experiences with academic but practical sessions at the University’s Lampeter campus.
